VISA FOR STUDYING IN TAIWAN
Students must take Ming Chuan University’s Admission Letter to the ROC (Taiwan) Embassy, Consulate or Mission in your country to apply for a VISA with the purpose of pursuing study at Ming Chuan University. Foreign passport holders who enter Taiwan (R.O.C) on visa-exemption or landing visas are not allowed to study in Taiwan.
Regarding the required documents to apply for a visa to enter Taiwan, please confirm with the ROC(Taiwan) Embassy, Consulate or Mission in your country.
Generally, the documentation includes (example):
- Completed application form
- Passport (original and one photocopy) valid for at least six months
- Ming Chuan University’s Offer Letter (original and one photocopy)
- Original diploma of highest degree or graduation certificate (original and one photocopy)
- Original transcript (original and one photocopy)
- Financial statement
- Health Certificate (taken within the past 3 months)
- Two 2-inch head & shoulder photos in color with a white background (taken within the last six months)
- Application fee (Please confirm with the ROC (Taiwan) Embassy, Consulate or Mission in your country.)
- Other supporting documents which may also be requested by the ROC (Taiwan) Embassy, Consulate or Mission in your country. For example, official proofs/documents for MOFA scholarship holders or ICDF scholarship recipients.
You will receive a visa similar to the above image. Please make sure Remarks (No. 6) is FS followed by the university’s name. FS means you’re a Foreign Student.
